Various services like Haematology, Serology, Endocrinology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Histopathology, Cytology and Clinical Pathology are housed in the Laboratory Department.
Routine and specialised investigation needed for diagnosis and therapy are performed inhouse. Some highly specialized investigations, however, which are few and comes far in between, are done at accredited referral laboratories.
The Laboratory is staffed by well qualified and experienced technicians with a senior consultant in charge of administration and operation. It boasts of state-of-the-art equipments and reagents. Our Laboratory Department observes strict quality control and minimum turnaround time.
The Histopathology services include routine paraffin sections, special staining, frozen section facility for early diagnosis. Fine needle aspiration cytology of tumours, fluid cytology and papanicolau staining for cervical smears are routinely performed.
We can competently perform all routine chemistries including Lipid, Liver, Kidney, Cardiac, Rheumatic, Thyroid, Hepatitis, and Torch profiles. Routine cultures of anaerobic and aerobic bacteria with antibiotic sensitivity can also be undertaken in the Laboratory.
