HEALTH TIPS
Some schools don´t have PE classes and not every kid is on a school sports team, that´s why Dana Weintraub, MD, Clinical Instructor at Packard Children’s advises: "Parents can incorporate exercise in other ways. For instance, instead of having children take the school bus, try starting a "walking school bus" — parents or other adults walk groups of children to school together. Contact your child’s school, school district or health care provider to find out about after school programs that include physical activity. Many also offer additional benefits such as academic assistance."

School Safety Tip
You can use today´s technology to help your kids remember all important phone numbers. To make things a little easier, print to a business card (3-1/2" wide by 2" high and leave 1/4" margin all the way around) all the information that the kids might need. Don´t forget that you can use both sides.
When you are done, have the cards laminated. If the kids are old enough to carry a wallet, it will slip inside easily. If they are younger, you can punch a hole in the card and lace it into their school backpack, so they will not lose it.
