The International Hospital of Bahrain is the kingdom´s first private medical center. From a small private clinic of its founder, Dr. Faysal Saeed Zeerah, it evolved to a major community hospital over the past thirty years. It is dedicated to the service of the Community and is grateful to have its support since its establishment in 1978.

The Hospital prides itself in its some hundred well- trained and skilled physicians of different nationalities covering most of the major specialties. They are supported by more than four hundred administrative and support personnel.

The International Hospital of Bahrain offers a wide-range of services. Specialties include Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Reproductive and IVF Centre, Dental and Orthodontics, Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, Bariatric Medicine, Neonatology and Paediatrics, Ophthalmology, ENT, General Surgery, Physiotherapy, Urology, Orthopaedics, Cardiology, Neurology, Nephrology, Psychiatry, Plastic Surgery and Dermatology. A 24-hour Accident and Emergency Department and a Pharmacy complements its services.

The International Hospital of Bahrain provides in-patient and out-patient services under one roof. Its focus is on the prevention of illness. Diagnostic facilities include a fully-equipped Radiology Department with MRI and CT Scanner, remote-controlled Swiss-ray digital unit, contour digital Mammography and Ultrasound units. Pathology provides Hematology, Hormonal Assay, Bacteriology, Biochemistry and Histopathology. Clinics include the Executive Health Check Unit, which provides a comprehensive programme for early diagnosis of disease and stress.

The hospital has three nursing and in-patient wards, a royal suite, executive suites, private suites and shared rooms. There are seven operating theatres and a separate maternity suite with up-to-date, fully-equipped birthing rooms.
